From Project Coordinator to Accomplished Program Manager: My Journey

🌟 A Surprising Revelation

Ten years ago, I would never have imagined myself as a Program Manager. Life has a way of pivoting unexpectedly, and my journey has been nothing short of remarkable.

🚀 Venturing Beyond Sacramento

My path led me from Sacramento to the bustling streets of San Francisco. There, doors swung open, and opportunities beckoned. People believed in me, taking a chance on my potential. Starting as a project coordinator, I gradually stepped into the role of a project manager.

🤔 The Question That Changed Everything

In 2016, an inspiring Senior Project Manager posed a simple question: “Where would you like to be?” I hesitated, then admitted, “I guess I want to be a project manager.” Why? Because I thrive on solving problems and seeking opportunities for improvement.

👀 The Astonishing Revelation

Her response caught me off guard: “You’re already there.” She pointed out that I was effectively managing projects—coordinating tasks, meeting deadlines, and ensuring success. Suddenly, it all made sense. I was meant for this role.

🌐 Embracing a Strategic Approach

Enter the world of strategic planning. Inspired by that conversation, I realized I needed to chart my future deliberately. Aligning my career goals with a strategic mindset became my compass.

🌺 Lessons from My Mother

My mother, a tireless worker who held down two jobs, taught me resilience and goal orientation. Her can-do attitude and growth mindset shaped my approach. Now, I carry her legacy forward.

Thank you for joining me on this transformative journey! 🌈
